Vitamin-enhanced coffee claims to help promote immunity, weight loss

A Florida coffee company is touting a coffee that’s packed with vitamins and minerals to help you stay healthy and lose weight

We all know that coffee has benefits other than just tasting good. It provides a much-needed caffeine jolt when we need it, can help ease the pain of a headache, and has been shown to fend off diseases, cancers, and Alzheimer’s over time. But what if coffee also provided you with a full day’s recommended allowance of vitamins?

The makers of JavaFit have taken their coffee to that level. The company has developed two coffees that have been packed with body and mind-enhancing vitamins. The first, called Focus Plus Multi-Vitamin, contains 12 vitamins and minerals meant to stimulate your body’s energy levels including Vitamins C, E, Folic Acid, Zinc, and B12. Another additive, a compound called alpha-GPC, is also said to help boost brain function, according to the company. JavaFit’s second vitamin coffee, Immune Plus Multi-Vitamins, contains many of the same vitamins but adds Echinacea for immune support.

Afraid your coffee will taste like Flintstones chewables? Not to worry. The company’s website promises a genuinely gourmet cup with the same aroma and flavor you enjoy in non-vitamin-enhanced coffee. “Each JavaFit product is formulated using Latin American gourmet beans, creating a delicious full-bodied flavor,” the site promises.

If a multi-vitamin is not what you’re after in your daily java jolt, what about a coffee that helps you lose weight? Well, JavaFit’s thought of that too. The brand’s Diet Plus 62 “is a high-energy, fat-burning gourmet coffee that helps you stay fit. There is nothing “diet” about the taste of this full bodied gourmet coffee,” the company’s website says. The product claims to increase the body’s metabolic rate, thereby helping it burn more fat, stay full longer, and give it more energy to devote to exercise. With recent research finding that coffee has helped cyclists recover faster from their workouts, it’s no wonder that JavaFit is also touting its exercise-enhancing capabilities.

Why can’t coffee just taste good?

All of this sounds great, but does it really work? I’ll be honest, like a lot of adults, I think the last time I took a multi-vitamin was when my mom was shoving them at me across the breakfast table before school. So a coffee that takes away the responsibility of remembering to do one more thing every day is definitely attractive. Also, who wouldn’t want a coffee that helps them stay thin or lose weight? My only concern there is that we’ve all seen the scary side effects diet pills can cause. Who’s to say that the properties in JavaFit’s Diet Plus 62 won’t cause the same reactions?

Not surprisingly, JavaFit is mainly marketed to people who already take incredibly good care of their bodies. The products and website feature photos of a woman weight training and retailers who sell JavaFit’s products include Gold’s Gym, Juice Zone, and a health website called Medabolix. JavaFit is managed by a Florida-based company that was created by three businessmen who were seeking a way to stay fit and enjoy their coffee at the same time. If you’re someone who wants to do the same, this interesting blend might just be for you.
